Shit, in another year or two, you'll be able to get a 2000 sq ft house on 5 acres for 100k.

I'll be in northern CA. I don't see it happening.

A lot of machine for the money. Gas will be expensive...but who cares....you live once and in a few years at $10 gasoline you will never be able to do it again...

If you ever wanted to do something like this....or get a pilots license...better do it now....Gasoline will be too expensive to do it later....enjoy life now...shit is headed our way...

It's true, it's a lot of machine of the money. I guess the mpg must be 9 or 10- and you won't be going anywhere with gas at $10/gallon!

You can get an old bus for a lot cheaper, and fix it up.

Where in NorCal are you?

Convert it over to bio-deisel. The thing I've never liked about A classes is that a vehicle that size only sleeps 4. Gimme an older C class with capacity for 8.

That's fine looking coach and a new Patriot is $500,000. If you can afford it, why not...the previous owner took the depreciation hit. It is not an investment, but it is a great way to enjoy the wide open spaces.

I've got Foretravel class A and love it...I've put on almost 20,000 miles in the last 2 !/2 years and have had no mechanical problems. I keep mine ready to go, and can live as comfortable as at home while on the road or camping.

I would live in it full time if I could.

well, you can always buy a piece of dirt somewhere, drive it there, throw it up on blocks and a can of stabilizer in the gas tank and ride out the storm.

So reckon this sort of thing could be good for survival prep dogfarm?
Please tell me what this means exactly:
"throw it up on blocks and a can of stabilizer in the gas tank"

How many MPG's do you get Atahualpa? And what sort of maintenance costs are there? The Foretravel looks mighty impressive.

If I'm going to pay 100K for something, it won't be for something that is disabled with 75 cents worth of .22 LR.
